Mosque demolished in Um Fagarah

Villagers from Um Fagarah in the southern West Bank sitting on the rubble of their mosque, which was demolished on Tuesday – for the second time. Israeli authorities say such demolitions are carried out due to lack of planning permission, but the UN and other international agencies say Palestinians are rarely granted building permits in Area C (the majority of the West Bank.) Local resident Joma’a Rabai told the EAPPI team: ”We don’t have freedom of religion here, we cannot practice our religion any more. What you have seen here is the truth, and we want all the world to know.”
