We get a lot of questions from our advocates about up-to-date statistics. Where do we go? These 5 places are where we always go first and are easy for you to get the latest facts too!
- Our #1 stop for comprehensive statistics for the past 2 years: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) Monthly Humanitarian Bulletin from December 2013. It has comprehensive statistics for the year 2013 in comparison to 2012.
- Need more up to date than that? Each week, UNOCHA’s Protection of Civilians Report gives up-to-date statistics from 2014 in comparison with 2013.
- Are you focusing on children and the affects of Israeli occupation? Defence for Children International is the place to go. Check out their Detentions bulletin, Statistics and Publications.
- For the most comprehensive and up-to-date statistics on water, check out EWASH’s website, especially their publications.
- Last, but not least, UNOCHA’s fact sheets offer statistics, case studies, and maps on many topics not included here.
